Natural oil products that can be used for acne
One of the most common natural oil products that can be used for acne is olive oil. However, olive oil is also expensive compared to its other counterpart, coconut. But as good as olive oil, don’t you know that coconut oil is also very good for acne.. and maybe even better!
Coconut oil is composed of large amounts of lauric acid that is known as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral. The fatty acids found in the oil help prevent bacterial infections when taken orally or applied directly to the skin. It helps to clear acne, heal wounds, and moisturize your skin to a silky state.
Coconut oil is cool which is great for hot, inflamed skin. In Chinese and Indian medicine, they use coconut oil to cool down skin. It mimics the natural oils in your skin and should not clog your pores. It is also great to protect your skin from the scorching heat of the sun.
There are different types of coconut oil in the market. But the most recommended is the use of virgin coconut oil. Virgin coconut oils have been gaining a lot of popularity these days as they are also proven to cleanse our inner bodies. You may apply the virgin coconut oil in your skin directly or you may also drink it. Drinking it can gross one out, however, there have been people who have been saying that it helped their digestions and gives you a clean inner being. But if you are uncomfortable doing this, then you may just apply it directly on affected areas of your body. But when can you not use coconut oil in one’s skin?
Remember that each person has a different skin type. As starter, the coconut oil may make your skin a little worse as it helps draw out toxins and impurities. It is just normal to experience a minor outbreak of whiteheads after using the coconut oil for a few times. This should clear up within a few days. If it doesn’t clear up, then you may have an allergy or intolerance to the oil and you should consider stopping the medication. If the problem persists consult your dermatologist immediately.
