Cardi B went after Nicki Minaj in her most epic Instagram takedown yet, livid that Nicki said it was Rah Ali who ‘beat’ Cardi at NYFW! Cardi wants to see the footage.
UPDATE: Nicki Minaj hasn’t directly commented on Cardi B’s latest string of Instagram video rants, which were posted on Oct. 29. But the “Barbie Dreams” rapper did shade her rival soon after Cardi popped off! The CEO of Wilhelmina, Bill Wackermann, sided with Nicki by posting one of Cardi’s clips and told her to “tell the truth,” because she claimed that she turned down a deal with the Italian label Diesel. Nicki, who took up the brand’s offer, commented under Bill’s post, “Poor baby has no idea fashion nova asked me to do that deal she has for over a year.” And we all know how much Cardi loves her Fashion Nova — what a burn!
ORIGINAL STORY: Cardi B, 25, had so much tea to spill, she needed 11 Instagram videos to do it! Nicki Minaj, 35, said on the Oct. 29 episode of Queen Radio that it was Love & Hip-Hop New York star Rah Ali who “beat Cardi’s a** real bad” at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party on Sept. 7, and not “security.” Cardi, who sported a bump on her forehead after leaving the party, immediately responded to Nicki’s claims. “This is the thing, Nicki Minaj. How you say I got ragged by Rah Ali when there is so many footages of that night, every single angle, and where am I getting ragged at?” Cardi asked in the first video she posted. “Ragged” is a slang word that means getting “owned,” but is also used to refer to pulling someone (by the hair, etc.) during a fight. “Why would I be sitting in line here like, ‘Oh yeah, I did this, I did that,’ knowing that the next day there was going to be so much footages of that same night.” The “Money” also called out Nicki for playing the “victim,” as she saw it.
“And second of all, how you gonna say I was the wild animal, that I attacked you, that you was mortified, that you was humiliated,” Cardi continued, fuming. She then had an important question for Nicki: “Do you want to be the victim, or do you want to be the gangster?” Next on Cardi’s list of topics to address were the “Barbie Dreams” rapper’s alleged lies. “You lie so much you can’t even f***ing keep up with your f***ing lies,” she claimed. Cardi spilled on what “lie” especially pushed her buttons!
“First you say you got the footage, the camera man got the footage, but now you talking about you want to pay someone a $100,000 to give you the footage?” she asked. Confused, Cardi added, “Yo, make sense when you talking. I thought you was the victim.” On Monday’s Queen Radio, Nicki told her fans, “Anybody that wants to pull up the surveillance footage, I will give you 100 thousand dollars.” The host added she would “never come up here and lie.” Cardi is clearly contesting Nicki’s statement, as she concluded her epic rant by declaring, “Get the f*** outta here.”
And to back up Cardi’s side of the story, her sister Hennessy Carolina engaged in an Instagram comment war with Rah on Oct. 28. She didn’t deny Rah tried to “swing on” Cardi, but added that the L&HH star isn’t “rag sh*t.” Hennessy also claimed that “Security did that goofy a** sh*t cuz ya friend wouldn’t do sh*t.” Meanwhile, Rah is sticking to what Nicki believes, who commented that the “‘security scenario’ was cute.”
